I was interested in learning more about yoga and improving my current yoga skills, however attending one yoga class once a week wasn’t enough for me. By purchasing The Beauty Detox Yoga Series DVD, it allowed to me to create a home practice, and practice yoga on my own schedule. The guidebook was my favorite feature of the series. It opened my mind to the philosophy of yoga and educated me about the Eight Limbs of Yoga including Pranayama (breathing and meditation), which I now include in my practice. I now understand yoga is union between the mind, body and spirit and asanas (poses) are only a part of yoga. This knowledge has inspired me to learn more and take my practice to the next level. I would recommend The Beauty Detox Yoga Series DVD to anyone who is interested in learning more about yoga, and taking your practice to the next level.
Right now I’m connecting with the beginner’s flow video. My favorite pose is the dancer’s pose. It’s just fun to do and looks pretty. It’s great for balance and works your core, too. What I’ve learned the most is that I’m doing something for myself that will have a tremendous positive impact on my health and mind for years to come. I didn’t know yoga helps maintain and even builds bone mass. That’s very important to me.
I will definitely recommend this to all my friends! It’s great because you can do this at your own pace and time that’s good for you. It also has a beginner and intermediate video as well as a breathing video. I bought one of the extra copies of the book for my sister-in-law. She’s been having a rough time with her health for the past couple of years and severe allergies her whole life. She is now gluten free and it’s helped a lot. This book will be perfect for her. The other copy is for my boyfriend. He has read Kimberly’s other books and is a Beauty Detoxer.
This DVD is a different type of workout from my other strenuous power yoga DVDs. I love the overall stretch and tone, and I feel very relaxed at the end. My favorite part of the routine was the 360 degree Mandala movements, which break us out of our usual linear poses. I feel the DVD does a great job teaching the importance of breath and linking it to the poses. The practice is very well-rounded. It isn't very strenuous but does leave you feeling detoxed and refreshed. As a professional triathlete, I enjoy the lengthening and stretching of this yoga. It is an excellent compliment to the pounding my body takes from running. Kimberly's instructions are specific and reassuring if you are a beginner, and she also provides a gentle relaxation for more advanced practitioners. I take this DVD with me on all of my travels. Love it!
I am a beginner. I live in a setting where there are no yoga classes, or at least none where I would trust the teaching expertise. I wanted to learn, therefore I was thrilled when Kimberly announced her DVD. I am still in the preparatory stage of using it, studying the pdf manual and trying out the poses in the DVD. It is easy to follow and very pleasant. My 9-year-old daughter Anna could not wait to watch it. She is not very athletic and therefore is not interested in school basketball or volleyball, but she is in tensely interested in learning yoga, as am I. She spent an entire hour on Sunday afternoon practicing along with Kimberly and was so proud to learn so many new things. She also is an anxious child and has noticed on her own how much Kimberly's breathing exercises are helping her calm down. She started doing the breathing exercises in the morning before she goes to school. I want to thank Kimberly for inspiring us to live healthier. We will continue to follow her work and embrace what she teaches us.
I have been waiting for Kimberly’s Yoga Course for years! I am so excited it is finally here. The first time I did the full Vinyasa sequence, it felt amazing and I like that the pace is slow paced, and not rushed. I have taken only one style of yoga, and I feel that no matter what yoga you practice that you yourself have to feel at ease with your own body and Kimberly’s course made me feel that way.
My favorite module is reading about the yoga itself. I really enjoy child pose and tree pose. What I did learn is that breathing is very important and not forcing yourself to the next move will always be important. My favorite pose as well is easy pose, because I love meditating too.
I would 100% recommend the course to a friend. You have 3 hours of yoga and so much information in the modules themselves as well, which is good to know for anyone really.
This course leaves me with overall positive vibes. I can’t stress enough how I love the slow pace and her peaceful voice. Simple as that.
